Testimonial N°2/Bad practice

                        Thematic Work-life imbalance/ Remote work

The changing world, methods of work performance, and the
transformation of companies' business models mean that many
employees live on the run and work beyond their limits. The balance
between the different spheres of life allows one to keep not only good
relations with family and friends but also a sensible attitude towards
                                         professional responsibilities.
The concept of work-life balance was a result of the need to focus on
employees, and on how they manage to keep a balance between their
personal life and professional life. In theory, the concept is simple: find
time for both work and personal life, while not mixing them together.
In practice, however, this is not easy, although companies are
increasingly offering solutions to help with this, such as flexible
                                         working hours or remote working.

                 0. Problematic “I have definitely experienced difficulties related to work-life balance
situation in my job/my when working remotely. The lack of clearly defined working hours and
organisation regarding the lack of physical separation between home space and the workplace
flexible work meant that I often found myself working longer hours than usual.
There was no longer a clear separation between time for work and
time for myself and my family.

First of all, I was facing difficulties in controlling my work overload. The
lack of clearly defined working hours meant that I often worked longer
than expected to complete tasks. Instead of having time to rest and
relax, I was in a continuous state of 'being on the line' and keeping a
close eye on the project. The lack of clear time frames also affected my
family life. I often had to separate myself from parental responsibilities
or other commitments in order to meet work demands.”

                    B. How do you “I tried to put some strategies in place to handle the work-life
think the imbalance. First of all, I set myself a very clear time limit for my work
situation could and tried to stick to it. This meant setting specific start and end times
be improved? for work and rest breaks. Creating a clear structure helped me increase
