was a very demanding challenge because the school, in a very short time, had to
                                    radically change its organization without any previously planned solution.
                         Solution   A technical team was set up among computer science teachers with the task of
                                    choosing and implementing a platform for remote communication. Instead of
                                    relying on one of the existing FAD solutions, it was preferred to choose a non-
                                    specialist system such as GMeet to borrow as much as possible the teacher-
                                    pupil interactions that take place in a real classroom without the rigidities of an
                                    architecture dedicated to ELearning.
                                    At the same time, a training activity aimed at teachers on the use of the chosen
                                    platform was launched.
                                    The Management intervened by arranging that all activities were carried out
              Policy parameters     remotely.
                                    To   facilitate   the   change,  with   the   support   of   the   Academic   Board,  it   has
                                    organized a new working and teaching schedule.
               Development &        The   Management   has   adopted   various   solutions   to   better   manage   the
              oversight             functioning of the school with the new organization:
                                    • All employees and students operated in smart working;
                                    • School hours were shortened to 33 hours per week and the duration of each
                                    teaching unit reduced from 55 to 45 minutes.
                                    • An additional 15-minute break was introduced during the morning, in addition
                                    to the one already foreseen.
                                    • All meetings of the school bodies took place remotely.
                                    Each teacher was left free to set up the teaching of his own subject and the
                                    relative evaluations.
                                    As is well known, in Italy, after the end of the pandemic, a situation of
                                    normality has gradually returned. Lessons, the center of every educational
                                    institution, are once again in presence. Nevertheless, some lessons have been
                                    learned from the operation of the new remote organization which have
                                    produced the following results:
                                    • All teachers, even those furthest from technical skills, have developed
                                    important skills in the use of PCs to support teaching.
                                    • Meetings between parents and teachers take place only remotely; this
                    Outcomes        improved time management and parental participation.
                                    • Emergency (and therefore unscheduled) meetings of the various school
                                    bodies take place remotely.
                                    • As is known, the isolation due to the pandemic has produced various
                                    problems for individuals' relational skills. The younger population suffers the
                                    most. For this reason, the School has introduced the figure of the Institute
                                    Psychologist to support the pupils.
